MDYKDHDGDYKDHDIDYKDDDDK is a fusion FLAG tag including an enterokinase-cleavage site. It is designed for immunoaffinity chromatography. The tricosapeptide can be used to competitively elute DYKDDDDK-tagged fusion proteins from immobilized anti-DYKDDDDK affinity columns, especially when a DYKDDDDK-tagged protein is sensitive to low pH. The 3x DYKDDDDK Peptide may interfere with protein-determination assays and with absorbance at 280 nm. The peptide can be removed from the eluate by desalting.
