Chemistry Lab Chemist – Full-Time
Position Overview (One Position Available on February 1, 2026)
We are a dynamic Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in custom peptide synthesis and organic chemistry services. We are seeking a highly motivated Chemistry Lab Chemist to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, technically skilled, and committed to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform synthesis, purification, and characterization of compounds using state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation, including automated peptide synthesizers, HPLC (analytical and preparative), LC-MS, and mass spectrometry (MS).
- Contribute scientific insight and problem-solving expertise to troubleshoot synthesis and purification challenges.
- Maintain strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory compliance standards.
- Accurately document experimental procedures, results, and observations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Collaborate effectively with chemists, project managers, and quality assurance teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in organic synthesis, peptide chemistry, compound purification, or analytical techniques (experience in a CRO, pharma, or biotech setting is a strong plus).
- Strong working knowledge of modern separation and analytical methods (HPLC, LC-MS, MS, and related instrumentation).
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex synthetic or analytical problems (demonstrated through prior work, publications, or project outcomes preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with both practical and theoretical aspects of synthetic chemistry.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to clearly document and present technical information.
- Collaborative mindset with proven success in interdisciplinary team environments.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
