Scientific Background

TAT-NSF222 is a cell-permeable fusion peptide composed of the HIV TAT(47-57) protein-transduction domain, a Gly3 linker and an NSF-derived segment adjacent to the Walker A region of the NSF D1 ATPase domain. The peptide was developed as an experimental inhibitor of N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF). Published work shows that TAT-NSF fusion peptides can enter endothelial cells, inhibit NSF ATPase/disassembly functions and reduce regulated exocytosis.
