EAVSLKPTC is a cysteine-extended version of the PKCε V1-2 inhibitory peptide. The EAVSLKPT sequence is derived from the PKCε regulatory region and has been used to interfere with PKCε anchoring and translocation. Addition of the C-terminal cysteine provides a thiol handle for carrier coupling, immobilization, or other thiol-selective conjugation while retaining the core V1-2 sequence.

Experimental Notes
