Cys(Npys)-TAT (47-57)

C(Npys)YGRKKRRQRRR-NH2 is a Tat(47-57) cell-penetrating peptide bearing an N-terminal cysteine activated with the 3-nitro-2-pyridinesulfenyl (Npys) protecting/activating group. The Npys-modified cysteine is designed for rapid thiol-disulfide exchange and provides a practical route for conjugating the Tat carrier sequence to thiol-containing cargo molecules.
