Secretin, Human

Human secretin is a 27-residue amidated gastrointestinal hormone released from duodenal S cells in response to acid. It activates the secretin receptor to stimulate pancreatic bicarbonate secretion and contributes to gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine regulation.
