QXL520-SKPSKRSFIED-K(5-FAM)-NH2 is a quenched fluorescent peptide modeling the SARS-CoV-2 spike S2' protease-processing region. The KR-SF sequence spans a basic cleavage motif implicated in activation of the fusion machinery. The QXL520/5-FAM reporter pair provides a fluorescence readout when proteolysis separates quencher and fluorophore.

Experimental Notes
