OVA-T4 Peptide, SIITFEKL

SIITFEKL is an altered peptide ligand of the H-2Kb-restricted OVA(257-264) epitope SIINFEKL. The Asn-to-Thr substitution at position 4 changes T-cell receptor engagement and is used to examine how altered peptide ligands tune CD8 coreceptor dependence, signaling strength and antigen discrimination.

T4 should be treated as a distinct altered ligand rather than a simple OVA substitute. Biological potency can differ substantially from native SIINFEKL even though the peptides share H-2Kb presentation.
