Product Description
Neurokinin B belongs to the tachykinin family which excites neurons, provoke behaviorial responses, are potent vasodilators and secretagogues. Neurokinin A and neurokinin B were originally isolated from the porcine spinal cord. Assays on isolated pig ileum showed them to have 81% (NKA) and 61% (NKB), respectively, of the activity of substance P.
Scientific Background

Neurokinin B is a synthetic research peptide in the tachykinin neuropeptide family. Substance P, neurokinin A, and neurokinin B are mammalian tachykinins that preferentially interact with NK1, NK2, and NK3 receptors, respectively. Their shared C-terminal tachykinin motif is important for receptor activation, while N-terminal truncation, substitutions, and labels can alter affinity, selectivity, and stability.
