Kemptide PKA Substrate, LRRASLG

Kemptide, LRRASLG, is the classic heptapeptide phosphorylation substrate for cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). The serine residue is the phosphate acceptor, and the surrounding basic residues create a compact PKA recognition sequence. Kemptide is widely used in biochemical kinase assays, phosphorylation studies and method development because it is small, well characterized and readily analyzed.
