Scientific Background

TRDI-pY-ETD-pY-pY-RK is a triply phosphorylated peptide derived from the insulin receptor activation-loop region spanning residues 1142-1153. The peptide contains phosphotyrosines corresponding to Tyr1146, Tyr1150 and Tyr1151 and is useful as a defined phosphopeptide reference for insulin-receptor kinase, phosphatase and phosphotyrosine analytical studies. It has also been used in phosphopeptide mass-spectrometry method development.

Research Applications
  • insulin receptor phosphopeptide studies
  • phosphotyrosine analytical standards
  • protein tyrosine phosphatase assays
  • phosphoproteomics method development
Experimental Notes

This peptide is already triply phosphorylated. It should be treated as a phosphopeptide reference or phosphatase substrate rather than as an unmodified insulin-receptor kinase substrate.

Selected References
  1. Increasing the cAMP content of IM-9 cells alters the phosphorylation state and protein kinase activity of the insulin receptor
