Caspase-9 Fluorogenic Substrate, Ac-LEHD-AFC

Ac-LEHD-AFC is a tetrapeptide fluorogenic substrate configured for caspase-9 activity assays. Proteolytic cleavage releases AFC, producing a fluorescence signal that can be monitored in kinetic or endpoint formats. LEHD is commonly used as a caspase-9 recognition sequence, although caspase substrate preferences overlap among family members; assay conditions and appropriate enzyme controls are therefore important when interpreting selectivity.
