Scientific Background | (Z-DEVD)2-Rh110 is a rhodamine 110-derived fluorogenic substrate for DEVD-preferring effector caspases, particularly caspase-3 and caspase-7. Proteolytic cleavage removes the DEVD-containing peptide groups and generates strongly fluorescent rhodamine 110. The bright green reporter signal is well suited to fluorescence instruments using 488 nm excitation and enables sensitive measurement of caspase activity. |
