Caspase-1 Fluorogenic Substrate, Ac-WEHD-AFC

Ac-WEHD-AFC is a fluorogenic tetrapeptide substrate used for WEHD-preferring inflammatory caspase activity measurements, particularly caspase-1. Enzymatic cleavage releases AFC, converting protease activity into a fluorescence signal. Because short peptide substrates can be recognized by more than one caspase, the reagent is most informative when combined with defined enzymes, selective inhibitors, or orthogonal pathway controls.
