520 MMP FRET Substrate 1, FAM/QXL520

5-FAM-PLGL-Dap(QXL520)-AR-NH2 is an internally quenched green FRET substrate for matrix metalloproteinases. The PLGL-centered cleavage sequence is flanked by 5-FAM and the dark quencher QXL520. Proteolysis separates donor and quencher and produces a fluorescence increase near 494/521 nm. LifeTein specifies this substrate for activity measurements involving MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-12 and MMP-13.
