Who We Are

Who We Are

LifeTein is a contract research organization based in Somerset, New Jersey, founded in 2008. We support research teams in academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, diagnostics, and government with peptide synthesis, conjugation, protein services, antibody services, and selected chemistry projects. LifeTein operates as a focused laboratory team, allowing direct communication and continuity across projects.

We work with customers in the United States and internationally. Many of the projects we support are routine, while others are technically demanding and require sequence review, modification planning, or a more customized workflow. Our role is not only to manufacture materials, but also to help customers move projects forward with practical scientific support and reliable communication.

What We Do

LifeTein supports research projects that require custom biomolecules rather than standard catalog products. Much of our work centers on peptide synthesis, including modified peptides, conjugated peptides, and projects that require careful review of sequence, purity, scale, or application. We also support protein, antibody, and chemistry projects for customers who need a CRO partner that can work closely with specific experimental requirements.

Some projects are straightforward and can move quickly. Others involve hydrophobic sequences, long peptides, multiple modifications, unusual analytical requirements, or application-specific constraints. In those cases, we try to provide direct guidance and realistic expectations rather than generic answers.

How We Work

Our approach is practical and project-oriented. We review the customer’s goals, sequence, purity target, quantity, and modification requirements, then recommend a path that is technically realistic. We understand that many customers are working under deadlines, grant timelines, assay development schedules, or internal decision points, so responsiveness and continuity matter.

  • We communicate directly about project feasibility, expected turnaround, and technical considerations.
  • We support both standard workflows and more customized project requirements.
  • We aim to keep the process clear for customers who need to balance cost, speed, purity, and application fit.
  • We recognize that reliability and documentation are often as important as the product itself.

Technical Capability

A key part of our peptide work is , LifeTein’s synthesis platform for efficient peptide production. The platform incorporates microwave-assisted synthesis and supports a practical workflow for both routine and difficult peptide projects.

LifeTein also uses a bio-inert HPLC system for peptide purification and analysis. This helps support good recovery, consistent peak quality, robustness under demanding buffer conditions, and reproducible analytical performance across a range of peptide and labeled biomolecule projects.

169 aa long peptide

Over time, LifeTein has also supported long peptide projects that demonstrate the range of sequences the lab can handle. Published and cited examples include a 76aa BfUbb peptide, a 97aa peptide mB Box-97syn, a 133aa SHT peptide, and a 169aa long peptide. These examples are useful not as marketing claims, but as evidence of the kinds of sequences we have worked with in real projects.

Evidence of Use in Research

One useful way to evaluate a CRO is to look at whether its materials have been used in published research. LifeTein products and services have been cited in publications and patents across different research areas. For customers who want to review that record directly, we encourage them to explore LifeTein on Google Scholar.

LifeTein has also been mentioned in external scientific media, including GEN.

What Customers Often Value

Recent customer feedback (Dec 9, 2025):

“Here at Vipergen we have been sourcing custom peptides and advanced peptide conjugates from LifeTein and are extremely satisfied with the quality and service... LifeTein’s peptide-fluorophore and peptide-DNA conjugates consistently arrive on time, with excellent purity and thorough documentation, making them a reliable supplier for our research and development needs.”

Earlier customer feedback:

“LifeTein delivered on time and it was very easy to work with them. Communication was great and the price was right.”

We do not view customer trust as something built through slogans. In practice, it comes from handling projects carefully, communicating clearly, and delivering material that supports the customer’s research.
