Scientific Background

TNO211 is an internally quenched peptide substrate designed for matrix metalloproteinase assays. Its PQGL-containing protease-recognition region is flanked by a DABCYL quencher and an EDANS fluorophore. Cleavage disrupts intramolecular quenching and produces a fluorescence increase, allowing continuous measurement of MMP-dependent proteolysis.
