TACE (ADAM-17)

TACE (ADAM-17) is a 13-residue synthetic peptide with the sequence Ser-Pro-Leu-Ala-Gln-Ala-Val-Arg-Ser-Ser-Ser-Arg-Lys. MCA provides a fluorogenic reporter group; DNP provides a defined chromophore/quencher or hapten-like group depending on assay design; C-terminal amidation removes the terminal carboxylate charge. The sequence contains 1 Lys and 2 Arg residues, contributing cationic character.
