Substance P (7-11)

Substance P (7-11) is the 7 to 11 residues fragment of Substance P peptide, it is related to the aggrecan catabolism mediated by matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which can cause an increase in the intracellular calcium concentration as measured by the fluorescent dye Fura-2. This peptide is one of the products of Substance P hydrolysis by kidney endopeptidase.
