Substance P (1-7)

Substance P (1-7) is a fragment that gives depressor and bradycardic effects when applied to the nucleus tractus solitarius. It was also shown that this fragment, contrary to substance P, may reduce signs of opioid withdrawal in mice.

Substance P (1-7) is a synthetic research peptide in the Substance P/tachykinin family. The listed sequence/design is Arg-Pro-Lys-Pro-Gln-Gln-Phe. Substance P is a tachykinin neuropeptide whose best-characterized receptor interaction is with the neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor.
