Scientific Background

KR-pT-IRR is a short phosphothreonine-containing peptide used as a serine/threonine phosphatase substrate. Its pre-installed phosphothreonine provides a defined dephosphorylation site for biochemical phosphatase assays. Published studies have used KR(pT)IRR as a synthetic phosphopeptide substrate for measuring phosphatase activity, including bacterial and mammalian phosphatases.

Research Applications
  • serine/threonine phosphatase assays
  • phosphopeptide dephosphorylation studies
  • phosphatase inhibitor screening
  • phosphorylation-state assay controls
Experimental Notes

This product is already phosphorylated and should be treated as a phosphatase substrate/control, not as an unphosphorylated PKC kinase substrate. Verify phosphothreonine integrity during storage and handling.
