Parathyroid Hormone (1-13), Human

Human PTH(1-13) corresponds to the N-terminal tryptic peptide of parathyroid hormone and has been used as a sequence-specific surrogate for intact PTH in quantitative LC-MS/MS workflows. Because the N-terminal region of PTH is important for receptor-related biological activity, this fragment is also useful in analytical studies that distinguish intact PTH from truncated or processed forms.
