PACAP (1-27), Amide, Human/Ovine/Rat

PACAP-27 is the N-terminal 27-residue active form of PACAP and is a potent agonist at PAC1 and VPAC receptors. It stimulates cAMP accumulation and intracellular calcium signaling and is useful for comparing the two endogenous PACAP lengths.

The amidated PACAP-27 sequence is shorter than PACAP-38 but remains highly active. Assays should use the exact length because receptor potency can differ between forms.
