Neutrophil Elastase Fluorogenic Substrate, MeOSuc-AAPV-AFC

MeOSuc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Val-AFC is a fluorogenic peptide substrate for neutrophil elastase. The AAPV recognition sequence is preferentially cleaved by elastase-like serine proteases, releasing AFC and generating a fluorescence increase that supports continuous activity measurements. This substrate is useful for studies of neutrophil protease function, inflammation and elastase inhibitor development.
