Kisspeptin-10 (110-119), Mouse/Rat

YNWNSFGLRY-NH2 is the C-terminal decapeptide kisspeptin-10 sequence found in mouse and rat kisspeptin precursors. Kisspeptin peptides signal through the KISS1 receptor (GPR54/Kiss1R) and play a central experimental role in studies of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal signaling and reproductive neuroendocrinology. The mouse/rat decapeptide differs from human kisspeptin-10 at the C-terminal aromatic residue, with Tyr in the rodent sequence versus Phe in the human peptide.
