GAHWQFNALTVR is a 12-residue hyaluronan-binding peptide isolated as an inhibitor of hyaluronan-mediated leukocyte adhesion. Published work demonstrated binding to soluble, immobilized, and cell-associated hyaluronan and showed inhibition of leukocyte adhesion to hyaluronan-containing substrates, supporting its use as a defined probe of hyaluronan-dependent cell interactions.
