Scientific Background

H3K27ac is a prominent active-chromatin mark associated with active promoters and enhancers and can oppose Polycomb-associated repression. This H3 tail peptide contains site-specific Lys27 acetylation together with a C-terminal GK(Biotin)-NH2 handle, providing an immobilizable reagent for acetyl-lysine reader, histone-binding and chromatin-regulation studies.

Research Applications
  • H3K27ac reader-protein binding
  • bromodomain studies
  • streptavidin pull-down assays
  • chromatin and epigenetics research
Experimental Notes

LifeTein identifies this reagent as residues 21-44, although its displayed sequence contains the H3 tail through RPG followed by GK(Biotin)-NH2. The exact vendor sequence, biotin handle and C-terminal amide are retained here. It is chemically distinct from free-acid H3K27ac constructs.
