Des-acyl Ghrelin, Human

Des-acyl ghrelin has the same 28-residue backbone as ghrelin but lacks the Ser3 fatty-acyl modification required for canonical GHSR1a activation. It is useful for distinguishing acylation-dependent from acylation-independent ghrelin biology.
