Calcitonin, Human

Human calcitonin is a 32-residue amidated peptide hormone with an N-terminal disulfide ring. It lowers extracellular calcium by suppressing osteoclast activity and is used in calcitonin-receptor, bone-resorption and endocrine signaling studies.
