LT8672 is a synthetic 14-amino-acid research peptide with the sequence C-DEQERRRRRGRTR-NH2. The peptide contains an N-terminal cysteine followed by the arginine-rich sequence DEQERRRRRGRTR and is supplied with C-terminal amidation as an acetate salt.
The core sequence DEQERRRRRGRTR has been publicly disclosed as RMNE1-2 (SEQ ID NO: 3), a truncated peptide derived from the Neurogenin-1-associated RMNE1 sequence. RMNE1-related peptides have been investigated in research involving cellular permeability and melanin-associated biological processes.
