Galanin Receptor Ligand M35 is a high-affinity Galanin receptor ligand found to act as a Galanin receptor antagonist in the rat spinal cord, rat hippocampus and isolated mouse pancreatic islets.

M35 is a 21-residue synthetic peptide with the sequence Gly-Trp-Thr-Leu-Asn-Ser-Ala-Gly-Tyr-Leu-Leu-Gly-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Phe-Ser-Pro-Phe-Arg. C-terminal amidation removes the terminal carboxylate charge. The sequence contains 4 aromatic residues that can contribute to hydrophobic or aromatic interactions; is Gly/Pro-rich, a composition that can influence local backbone flexibility.
