Scientific Background

Laminin (925-933) is a synthetic research peptide in the laminin-derived cell-adhesion peptide family. Laminin-derived peptides are used to study extracellular-matrix interactions and cell adhesion. Well-characterized motifs include IKVAV from the laminin alpha1 chain and YIGSR from laminin beta1. Depending on the exact sequence, laminin peptides can be used in adhesion, neurite, migration, biomaterial, receptor-interaction, and matrix-mimetic studies.

Research Applications
  • receptor or ligand-binding assays
  • competition studies
  • biochemical or enzymatic assays
  • analytical LC-MS/HPLC methods
  • antibody controls
  • cell-based experiments
  • comparative structure-activity studies
Experimental Notes

For a fragment, residue-substituted analog, stereochemical variant, labeled peptide, or terminally modified form, experimental behavior should be evaluated for the exact construct rather than assumed to match the native parent peptide. Sequence-dependent solubility, aggregation, adsorption, oxidation, and stability should be considered when establishing reconstitution, storage, and assay conditions.
