520 MMP FRET Substrate 4, FAM/QXL520

An internally quenched green FRET substrate for matrix metalloproteinases. The PLGLWA recognition segment includes D-arginine before the FAM-labeled lysine. Cleavage separates 5-FAM from QXL520 and restores fluorescence near 494/521 nm. LifeTein reports rapid hydrolysis by MMP-13 and slower processing by MMP-1, -2, -3, -8, -9 and -12.
