[Tyr22] - a - CGRP (22 - 37), rat is a synthetic research peptide in the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) family. Calcitonin gene-related peptide is a 37-residue neuropeptide that activates the canonical CGRP receptor formed by calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CLR) and RAMP1. Structure-activity work has shown that the N-terminal disulfide ring is important for agonist activity, while the C-terminal region contributes strongly to receptor binding.
