Amyloid Beta Research Peptides
Amyloid-beta peptides are central research reagents in studies of peptide aggregation, amyloid fibril formation, membrane interactions, proteolytic processing, antibody recognition, and analytical assay development. Aβ1-40 and Aβ1-42 are the two most widely studied C-terminal forms.

LT8740 is based on the public Aβ1-40 sequence and contains an added modified lysine conjugation element in the central region. The Lys(N3)-derived functionality is coupled through DBCO/maleimide chemistry, creating a site for attachment of an additional research component.
Because this is a chemically modified Aβ analog rather than native Aβ1-40, researchers should validate its aggregation, binding, and structural behavior for each intended assay.
