Leucokinin III

Leucokinin III is a synthetic research peptide in the leucokinin / insect kinin peptide family. Leucokinins are insect neuropeptides that signal through kinin/leucokinin GPCRs and participate in regulation of water balance, feeding, gut physiology, and related neuroendocrine functions. Functional receptor studies have demonstrated dose-dependent activation by leucokinin peptides, while genetic manipulation of the signaling system alters physiological and behavioral phenotypes in insects.
