Kinase Domain of Insulin Receptor (4) is a synthetic research peptide in the insulin receptor kinase-domain peptide family. Synthetic peptides derived from the insulin receptor kinase domain are established tools for studying receptor autophosphorylation and phosphotyrosine turnover. In particular, insulin receptor residues 1142-1153 have been used as a tyrosine-phosphorylated substrate for phosphotyrosyl protein phosphatases, while synthetic tyrosine-containing peptides have also been used to characterize the substrate specificity and kinetics of the insulin receptor kinase.
