Background
Human P-Selectin (GMP-140, LECAM-3, PADGEM, CD62P), a member of the Selectin family, is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed by activated platelets and endothelial cells. A SLe(x)-type proteoglycan, which through high affinity, calcium-dependent interactions with E-, P- and L-selectins, mediates rapid rolling of leukocytes over vascular surfaces during the initial steps in inflammation.
Description
Recombinant Human P-Selectin/CD62P Protein is expressed from Expi293 with His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminal. It contains Trp42-Ala771.
Target
P-Selectin/CD62P
Species
Human
Gene/Protein ID
P16109
Exact Sequence
Trp42-Ala771
Molecular Weight
The protein has a predicted MW of 82.9 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 100-120 kDa based on the Tris-Bis PAGE result.
Activity
Immobilized Human P-Selectin, His Tag at 0.5ug/ml (100ul/Well) on the plate. Dose response curve for Anti-P-Selectin Antibody, hFc Tag with the EC50 of 4.6ng/ml determined by ELISA. See testing image for detail.
Tag
C-His-Avi
Express System
Expi293
Purity
> 95% as determined by Tris-Bis PAGE; > 95% as determined by EC-HPLC
Endotoxin
Less than 1EU per ug by the LAL method.
Formulation
Lyophilized from 0.22 um filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as a protectant before lyophilization.
Stability and Storage

Reconstituted protein stable at -80 C for 12 months, 4 C for 1 week. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
Shipped at ambient temperature.
Reconstitution

Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration of more than 100 ug/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
