LifeTein provides TFA content analysis for synthetic peptides. The service can be used to evaluate residual trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in peptide samples and to document the reduction in TFA content after conversion from TFA salt to acetate salt or hydrochloride (HCl) salt.
| Sample type | Synthetic peptide |
| Analysis | TFA content measurement |
| Salt forms | TFA salt, acetate salt, and hydrochloride (HCl) salt |
| Comparison option | TFA content before and after salt conversion |
| Related service | TFA salt conversion to acetate salt or HCl salt |
TFA is commonly used during synthetic peptide production. After peptide purification, TFA can remain associated with the peptide as a counterion. Converting the peptide from TFA salt to acetate salt or HCl salt reduces the TFA content. TFA content analysis measures the residual TFA in the peptide sample after this process.
The analysis can be requested for a peptide in its original TFA salt form, after salt conversion, or for both samples when a direct before-and-after comparison is needed.
Need salt conversion and TFA content analysis?
Request conversion from TFA salt to acetate salt or HCl salt together with TFA content analysis. Please provide the peptide information, current salt form, and the analysis requested.
Use the quotation form or contact LifeTein with your peptide information. Please state the current salt form and whether you need TFA content analysis only, salt conversion only, or salt conversion followed by TFA content analysis.
